For the primary reason that it presents image search results
in the way Google used to. I don’t like Google’s new set up.

I don’t like the weird side bar thing they use now.

Well, I’ve never used them before, so “now” doesn’t mean much to me. I haven’t used it in any serious search yet. I don’t see any sidebar on search results.

Highly recommend. Am very creeped out by how sophisticated and needlessly intrusive Google’s tracking has become.
DDG doesn't solve the whole issue (the carriers now book big revenues by doing unethical stuff with your data). But, it's a start.

I think their backend for image search is actually Bing.
But yeah it’s great. One engine set and you can call which ever using a bang.

I’ve been using it for five minutes, and I like it.

I looked through my Google music data. Did you know Google tracks the weather, time, and location when you listen to a song? I am officially skeeved out if any Google subscription from here on out ...

Yeah. It’s come to this. Like every single interaction on a Google device is cross-correlated with all kinds of ultra-specific data.
Not ready to go back to a flip phone. But I'd pay up for a clean software stack on vanilla, non-trackable, hardware

Oh sorry I meant what Google does where they show the image in a slightly too small sidebar in image searches.

Yes. The related images can be helpful, but the sidebar with the not-very-enlarged image is no good.

I wish you could sort by quality of image too. It would weed out all the crappy clickbait articles that reproduce photos in lower quality like the one you’ve chosen for the top photo.

Funny that
model shows up with that caption. None of the three A models served in the USAF.

Fun fact: In Google (maybe others too, I don’t know)
,
i
f you follow your search with a space and a
random 4-di
gi
t string you will receive
different/additional
results.
Not
many for each of the
9999 search pages,
but I’ve found it handy
.

Good to know. Thanks.
